Work behind the scenes at CTG, one of the nation’s most vibrant non-profit theatres, with two stages in Downtown Los Angeles—the Ahmanson Theatre and the Mark Taper Forum—and one in Culver City, the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
Summer 2014 Internships
We currently have two open positions, listed below.
- Arts Education Intern and Development Research, Media and Documentation Intern, both offered through the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program. Please visit the program website and review eligibility information carefully; there is no flexibility regarding eligibility. Scroll down to find the CTG Internship Application PDF, a required component. We recommend you read through all text on this page and on our FAQ page to ensure you’re a competitive applicant. You must submit separate cover letters for each position if you have strong interest in both arts education and development and would like to be considered for both. Applications are due May 16, but we are likely to select interns by May 1.
All additional opportunities will be posted on this page on April 25, 2014. We anticipate 12 open undergraduate positions and 2 open graduate-level positions in various departments. Application Materials & Process
All applications are due by the date listed in the internship description, although interns may be selected prior to that date; applicants are encouraged to submit materials early. Every applicant must submit an official CTG Internship Application (see below for link to the PDF), business resume, and a customized cover letter detailing why you are interested in this specific internship at Center Theatre Group. Please include all three items as separate PDF attachments to your email. Some internships require additional application materials; see the Internship Descriptions for details.
You may apply for more than one position, but should submit separate cover letters for each. If you submit your materials for multiple internships via USPS, the applications may be packaged in the same envelope. You may sign the application electronically. We will acknowledge receipt of all applications. Do not submit multiple copies of the same application.

Interns must be available on Fridays and up to two additional days from February through early May; see position descriptions for detailed schedule information. Current undergraduate students and people who graduated from an undergraduate program within one semester of application date are eligible for undergraduate-level internships. Current graduate students and people who graduated from a Masters program within one year of the application date are eligible for graduate-level internships. Read each position’s description carefully to ensure your eligibility. Please do not apply for a position for which you are not eligible.
