Jumpstart your career with Center Theatre Group. Your career in professional theatre is waiting for you.

Apply for a Center Theatre Group internship and develop essential workforce skills by studying and learning alongside professionals.  Work behind the scenes at CTG, one of the nation’s most vibrant non-profit theatres, with two stages in Downtown Los Angeles—the Ahmanson Theatre and the Mark Taper Forum—and one in Culver City, the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

Summer 2013 Internship Descriptions

The Internship Description documents below outline the opportunities available at Center Theatre Group this summer.  Please read each description closely and apply for only the internship/s you feel strongly about.  You may apply for more than one, but must submit a separate cover letter for each. Please note that if you submit your materials for multiple internships via USPS, the applications may be packaged in the same envelope.  You may sign the application electronically.

Application Materials & Process

Every applicant must submit an official CTG Internship Applicationbusiness resume (not an acting or design resume), and a customized cover letter detailing why you are interested in this specific internship at Center Theatre Group, and why you believe participating in that internship would further your career goals.  Some internships may require additional application materials; please see the Internship Descriptions for full details.  Please note that if you submit your materials for multiple internships via USPS, the applications may be packaged in the same envelope.  You may sign the application electronically.   We will acknowledge receipt of all applications.  All summer interns will be selected by May 24, 2013.  Additional information, including compensation, schedule and requirements, varies by position and is outlined in the Internship Descriptions above.

Eligibility

In general, current undergraduate students and people who graduated from an undergraduate program within one semester of application date are eligible for undergraduate-level internships.  Current graduate students and people who graduated from a Masters program within one year of the application date are eligible for graduate-level internships.  Read each position’s description carefully to ensure your eligibility.  Please do not apply for a position for which you are not eligible.  Contact Camille Schenkkan with any questions: 213.972.8031 orcschenkkan@CenterTheatreGroup.org.
