Front and Center: CCUSD Theatre Collaborative
Center Theatre Group joins in collaboration with The Actor’s Gang and We Tell Stories to work with stakeholders from the Culver City Unified School District’s learning community, to develop and implement a district-wide theatre arts education plan. This new initiative, aptly named “Front and Center,” strives to support the district in providing a comprehensive theatre education for all K-12 Culver City students.
CCUSD students and teachers have enjoyed access to free select performances at the Kirk Douglas Theatre through CTG’s Target Young Audiences Program and Children and Family Program. Through Front and Center, CTG is developing an ongoing partnership with the Culver City High School Academy of Visual & Performing Arts, utilizing the artistic resources of CTG to connect and support the AVPA curriculum in mentoring students and creating unique learning opportunities at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
More information will become available as it develops; until then please click the links to learn more about our partners who contribute their time and expertise to building this initiative.
Front and Center is funded through generous grants from The Culver City Education Foundation, The Carol and James Collins Foundation, Playa Vista and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
