Strategic Initiatives for Advancing Theatre Education: Center Theatre Group School Partnerships
Center Theatre Group is committed to creating sustained relationships with selected schools in order to provide models for instructional excellence. Center Theatre Group is proud to partner with the following schools and districts on in-depth projects to improve and expand student learning in theatre.
Annenberg Middle School Playwriting Program
Since 2004, Center Theatre Group has sustained a commitment to selected local middle schools to engage pre-teen and teenage students in theatre education activities that allows them to discover and express their distinctive and evolving viewpoints.
Culver City Unified School District Theatre Education Collaborative
Center Theatre Group partners with The Actor’s Gang and We Tell Stories, with the support of Sony Pictures Entertainment, to work with the Culver City Unified School District, a Los Angeles County Arts for All Vanguard District, in implementing their district-wide arts education plan.
Secondary Theatre Arts Initiative
Our newest neighbor, Los Angeles Unified School District Central Los Angeles High School #9, is a state of the art public school focusing on visual and performing arts. Center Theatre Group is working to build and sustain an ongoing, in-depth relationship with students, teachers and families starting in middle school and leading them through their time at CLAHS #9 and beyond.
