Interactive Broadway Workshops

Camp Broadway is an industry leader in providing authentic Broadway experiences to theatre enthusiasts of all ages. Center Theatre Group and Camp Broadway are proud to present from the heart of the theatre world, elite actors who are currently performing with the MARY POPPINS National Tour, a workshop offer to your group!

These accomplished performers are our workshop instructors.

Through Camp Broadway’s Interactive Broadway Workshop Series, participants will have an unforgettable experience by spending time with a Broadway professional, learning from them what they do best. Each workshop will conclude with an in-depth Q&A session, providing special insights into the world of Broadway. These theatre professionals provide special training using material that is based on Broadway shows. All our instructors are cast members of the show that you are planning to see!

Camp Broadway workshops are perfect for groups of students, groups of adults, or groups of mixed ages. These are highly customized workshops, based on the individual group’s interests.

Structure and Pricing

• $25 per person; two chaperone comps are provided for every 20 paid students
• Minimum of 20 participants; under 20, special arrangements can be made
• Workshops are booked tentatively until confirmation from the talent and the rehearsal studio

A Dance Experience

The Dance Experience workshop leaves each participant with a great sense of accomplishment and an inside view to the exciting world of Broadway.

Not a dancer? Don’t fret. Each dance workshop is shaped to the interests and level of each group.  All dance workshops begin with a short physical warm-up. The participants are introduced to several practical dance techniques. The workshop then culminates in the learning and rehearsal of choreography that is based on a Broadway production number.  Each workshop will conclude with an in-depth Q&A session, providing special insights into the world of Broadway.

“CHIM CHIM CHER-EE”
A Vocal Workshop

This interactive workshop pairs a Broadway performer with a professional accompanist and, together, they teach the group the mechanics and interpretation of a song. Groups can select a song from any published Broadway show. Participants will enhance their vocal and performance skills while building a sense of ensemble. (This workshop could include an extra fee of $100 for the accompanist)

Q & A: An Hour with an Artist

 This in-depth question and answer session gives participants the exclusive opportunity to talk one-on-one with a working entertainment professional. Individuals will hear what it takes to make it in the world of show business. Artists will intimately talk of their own personal success stories by taking the group through the highs and lows of their particular career. From agents to auditions, from landing the part to opening night, this extremely interactive environment will allow the participants the chance to find out everything they have always wanted to know about what life is like living as an artist.
