The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles celebrates its 25th anniversary with Much Ado About Nothing, starring Helen Hunt, Tom Irwin, Stephen Root, Dakin Matthews, and David Ogden Stiers in a world-class company of 17 American actors and musicians. Director Ben Donenberg has set the production in a grape-stomping California vineyard, ripe with Lyle Lovett’s music – and if you know one of his most famous songs “She’s No Lady, " performed live in the show by Sara and Sean Watkins -- you’ll understand the fun our cast is expecting to have with one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies.
VIP Ticket holders (Rows A-D) are invited to "come crush a cup of wine" in our exclusive tasting room sponsored by Gallo. The special VIP room will be open prior to the performance and throughout intermission.
Since 1985, The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles has been a cherished community resource committed to making Shakespeare accessible, relevant and enriching for students, educators, artists and audiences from all walks of life. Ben Donenberg, one of the city’s greatest proponents of Shakespeare, started The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles with a free production of Twelfth Night in Pershing Square and since then has provided performances of Shakespeare, along with outreach programs such as Will Power to Youth, which provides hands-on artistic experience with paid job training and arts education for at risk youth.
Much Ado About Nothing is a production of The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, presented by special arrangement with Center Theatre Group.
