Two of her favorite roles are Grandma Two Hawks at the Autry in the Equity production of Teaching Disco Square Dancing to our Elders by Larissa Fasthorse and the lead in the award-winning Dust Eaters by Julie Jensen at the Salt Lake City Acting Company. She is also an ordained minister for the Centers of Spiritual Living. |

Geraldine Keams

is a storyteller, author and actor whose career spans 20 years. She studied theatre at the University of Arizona and became a member of the theatre group Café LaMama in New York City. She has appeared in many films including The Outlaw Josie Wales (co-starring with Clint Eastwood), Disney’s Buffalo Dreams and the signature film One Thousand Roads for the National Museum of the American Indian, Washington, D.C. Recent appearances include Sons of Anarchy (FX-TV) and a recurring role in the HBO series Big Love. Geraldine is a well-known Navajo storyteller who has performed at the Smithsonian and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She is a children’s book author and a performing artist with the Los Angeles Music Center and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. She performs her children’s show, Legends Come Alive, in schools across the country. She makes her home in Pasadena. |

Today, his path has brought him to Hollywood, thus enabling him to use different means to communicate his vital truths. With the same passionate determination, this famed political activist and early leader of the American Indian Movement (AIM) has made over 22 feature films including The Last of the Mohicans, Natural Born Killers and Disney’s third highest-ever-selling video Pocahontas. Through the power of media, his vision is to create peaceful and positive images celebrating the magic and mystery of his American Indian heritage. In contemplating the fundamental issues about the world in which we live, he is committed to educating all people about our most crucial battle — the preservation of the earth. |

Richard Montoya
Playwright, Top Hat
The playwright is the grandson of a New Mexican bootlegger who rode a horse and saw tommy gun action and Leavenworth Prison during prohibition. Montoya has been chasing the stories and ghosts of his father’s New Mexico since he was a child and heard the stories of his grandparents, Malaquias and Luciana. For CTG and Michael Ritchie - Montoya penned Water & Power (L.A. Drama Critics Award; published by Samuel French). Richard is a co-writer for Chavez Ravine, and this is his fifth Culture Clash production for CTG. He is a Sundance Writers and Director Film Lab alum and staff writer for John Wells’ Southland. He dedicates this play to Consuelo (Chelo) and Mountain. A-ho! |

Brandon Oakes

Ratsienhonnonron of the Mohawk Akwesasne, Quebec/ New York (The Land where the Partridge Drum). He has performed and toured extensively throughout North America with Kanata Native Dance Theatre and Red Thunder. He attended the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto and then went on to study contemporary dance at the Banff Centre for the Arts and appeared in several contemporary/traditional native fusion performances over the past 12 years. Working with The Native Earth theatre company of Toronto, he toured the one man show Tales of an Urban Indian in 2007. He also appeared in Into the West, Wonderfalls and Taking Chance, and was the lead in the live dance Spirit the Seventh Fire which has toured the U.S. |

Kalani Queypo

is thrilled to be invited back from this production’s developmental workshops. This marks his 15th world premiere. Kalani is an active collaborator with Native Voices Theater at the Autry where he proudly serves on the Advisory Council. Before moving to Los Angeles, Kalani trained in New York City, and was featured on stages all over the country — the Goodspeed Opera House, Trinity Repertory Company and The Ordway. Hollywood has embraced Kalani with prestigious acting projects such as the Oscar-nominated, Terrence Malick film The New World, and Steven Spielberg’s Emmy Award-winning mini-series Into the West. In 2007, Kalani’s short script, Ancestor Eyes, won a screenplay competition, initiating his directorial debut. He has been recognized with twelve awards on the film festival circuit, including RIIFF’s prestigious Directorial Discovery Award. |

Having travelled across the U.S. many times over, performing at prestigious venues to hole in the wall clubs, the Lincoln Center to the Guadalupe Cultural Center, universities, colleges, high schools, elementary schools, repertory theatres and 99-seat theatres, comedy clubs, hotel ballrooms, convention halls, outdoor parks, fairs and donor living rooms. It’s been one hell of a fantastic journey!I humbly dedicate this play and performance to the loving memory of my neighbor, decorated Army veteran Reuben Paul “Chips” Santos — 4/27/82 - 10/15/09. Herbert Siguenza

is a founding member of Culture Clash. Together with his partners Salinas and Montoya, Culture Clash is the most prominent Chicano/Latino theatre ensemble in the nation. Mr. Siguenza has co-written and performed the following Culture Clash works: The Mission, A Bowl of Beings, SOS, Radio Mambo, Bordertown, Nuyorican Stories, Mission Magic Mystery Tour, The Birds, Chavez Ravine, Zorro in Hell and Peace. Mr. Siguenza will co-star in the upcoming Ben Ten: Alien Swarm television movie on the Cartoon Network. His solo show A Weekend with Pablo Picasso will be presented by the San Diego Rep in April. Mr. Siguenza is a proud member of Equity and a Los Angeles City Commissioner. |
