OVERVIEW

Winner! 1999 Tony Award for Best Book and Best Music

“Southern California's PRODUCTION OF THE YEAR.”

- Bob Verini, Variety

“BRILLIANT MUSICAL... explosive story... a magnificent cast. Catch it before it passes by.”

- Les Spindle, The Hollywood Reporter

"This freshly conceived production is... an urgent reminder of what contemporary composers are still capable of achieving.”

- Charles  McNulty, Los Angeles Times

“... zings the  intellect, breaks the heart and roils the blood.”

- Evan  Henerson, Curtain Up

“A soaring musical experience, a show that reaches for the stars and shines just as bright.”

- Associated Press

Based on the true story of Leo Frank, convicted for the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1913, Parade recounts the press frenzy and public outrage about Frank’s trial, and his wife’s crusade for justice. Amid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, this stirring Tony Award®-winning musical explores the endurance of love and hope against all the odds.

Featuring a powerful score by the award-winning composer of 13, Parade is “one of the most thrilling evenings of a theater-lover’s lifetime.” —Christian Science Monitor
