Almost everyone, sometime, has felt the sting of being treated like los otros, which means “the others” in Spanish. Los Otros is an exploration, through dramatic staging and lushly poetic song cycles, of the common life experiences that bind seemingly unrelated human beings together: wars, love affairs, work, mortality.

The award-winning creative team, each Tony Award®-nominees – writer-lyricist Ellen Fitzhugh (Paper Moon, Grind, Paradise Found) composer Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Marie Christine, Chronicle of a Death Foretold) and director Graciela Daniele -- share and explore common bonds in the world premiere of this new kind of musical featuring Tony Award®-winning actress Michelle Pawk (Hollywood Arms) and Julio Monge (The Capeman).

The stories of two individuals span 70 years of Southern California history and track lifetimes as well as cultures. It features a variety of musical influences including a touch of '40s swing music, traditional Mexican mariachi and a bit of Burt Bacharach pop.
