OVERVIEW

Los Angeles critics agree with The New York Times, The New Yorker and Washington Post: this is a must-see event!

"...devastating, exhilarating and illuminating. If this one doesn't put a lump in your throat, your heart isn't beating." -- Philip Brandes, Los Angeles Times (review online)

"Danai Gurira and Nikkole Salter create a remarkably pure theatrical experience that goes beyond their agenda into the hearts of the audience." -- Laurence Vittes, The Hollywood Reporter (review online)

Living worlds apart in South Central, Los Angeles and Harare, Zimbabwe, two young women experience a kaleidoscopic weekend of darkly comic life changing revelations.

With the two playwright/actors playing dozens of roles, In The Continuum envelops the audience in its story of parallel denials and self-discoveries.

"Their (Gurira and Salter) unflinching, sharply crafted script and versatile performances should be mandatory viewing for every teen and adult because it mixes healthy doses of entertainment and education without resorting to sermonizing or one-sided judgments." -- Jeff Favre, The Daily Breeze. (review online)

“Moving, smart, spirited and powerfully funny….”
-Charles Isherwood, The New York Times

"UNFORGETTABLE! A political drama that teaches without preaching and a heartbreaker that stirs without schmaltz. The play has a rich palette of emotions that makes its politics feel human." -Mark Blankenship, Variety

"Fiery, intelligent, and comedic!"
-The New Yorker

“Stunning, Uplifting, and Witheringly Funny! “
-Rob Kendt, Newsday
