BIND features the perspective of four gender non-conforming folks who share their own unique experiences with chest binding. Through their words we gain a deeper understanding as to why folks choose to bind. Binding is some people’s pathway towards getting a closer look into themselves. Mentally, physically, & socially.
About the Artist

Yané Garcia (they/them) is a non binary writer, director and community based theatre artist. They are an alumni from Cal Poly Pomona where they graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts. After graduating they co-founded Teatro Liberado, a community based theatre company, and co-wrote Caminos: A Mother’s Journey. Yané continues to advocate for safe spaces in Theatre for QTPOC to have the freedom to exist as their authentic selves.

Xuli Garcia (she/her) is a trans femme photographer & makeup artist. Her photographs range from portraits to candid street life. She has always had a love for capturing intimate moments through her lens. Xuli is a self taught makeup artist who has gained skills from exploring makeup methods from drag queens and femmes. She is grateful to live in a time where Queer people are taking up more space than ever.

Andrew Goldfarb (he/him) is a Los Angeles based photographer / videographer with an endless desire to keep creating. He feels the most alive when he’s looking through a lens listening to the world and his surroundings. Collaboration and creation are the two things that make him feel whole.

Levon Guaderrama (he/they) is a writer, director, and sound designer based in San Dimas. They received a Bachelor's in Theatrical Technical Design from Cal Poly Pomona, with a focus on sound design.
