Broadway and West End Trailblazers
Join our insider conversation with the award-winning producing team of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations, Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, moderated by Center Theatre Group’s Producing Director, Douglas C. Baker.
Byrd and Jones-Harvey have blazed a trail of “firsts” on Broadway and the West End for more than 15 years through a unique brand of diversity, both through non-traditional casting and diverse creative teams. Their Tony Award-nominated and Olivier Award-winning company Front Row Productions has produced such powerful productions on Broadway as American Son starring Kerry Washington, the first African American Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Terrence Howard, James Earl Jones, and Phylicia Rashad, and Eclipsed by Danai Gurira. They are also hard at work on thrilling new shows including MJ the Musical and Get Up, Stand Up: The Bob Marley Musical. We hope you can join us for this exciting and important conversation.
