About the Artist

Teatro Liberado was founded in November of 2018 by Larry Mayorquin and Yané Garcia. Together, they created an ensemble whose mission is to give voice to the often silenced communities and liberate their stories into the world through theatre. The ensemble is made up of eight talented artists: Bianca Leaños, Eluzai Salmeron, Isaac Jimenez, Karina Lopez, Rebeca Ramirez, Samantha ‘Mita’ Avila, Sofia Levi, and Yovanna Quintero. The ensemble features theatre artists whose skills range from acting to technical theatre and design.

Teatro Liberado prides itself in creating Caminos: A Mother’s Journey & the Web Series Adaptation because it is written, performed, designed, produced, and directed by Latinx alumni and current students of California State Polytechnic University's Department of Theatre and New Dance.
