About the Artist

Forrest Hartl is a playwright, actor, and teacher from Norwalk. He discovered theatre at a community college and now teaches at one.

Credits: Mass Effect published by PlayGround-LA; The Whexican adapted into a short film, premiered at the Tucson Film & Music Festival and was a NuvoTV emerging Latino filmmaker finalist; A Boy and His Dad won awards at the Catalina and My Hero Film Festivals.

For CTG:Tortilla Flat, adapted from John Steinbeck's novel, was part of CTG’s Library Play Readings series and The Crying Cavern was a short play commission.
