Program Overview

Center Theatre Group selects up to four classroom teachers from Los Angeles County public high schools to participate in each year’s August Wilson In-School Residency program. Selected classroom teachers partner with Center Theatre Group teaching artists over the course of 15 sessions in presenting a curriculum that introduces students to August Wilson’s American Century Cycle. The four participating classes also attend the August Wilson Monologue Competition Los Angeles Regional Finals at the Mark Taper Forum.

Financial Commitment

There is no cost to participate.
