May 21 – June 30, 2013

Ahmanson Theatre

From the creators of Chicago and Cabaret
12 Tony Award® nominations!

The music will thrill you.
The story will change you.

A dazzling show…don't miss the opportunity to catch one of the most inventive American musicals to come around in a long while.

The final collaboration by musical theatre giants Kander & Ebb is their most daring, original, and rewarding.

The Scottsboro Boys will have you tapping your toes and hollering for justice as the tables are turned on one of the most infamous events in American history: nine African American men accused of a crime they did not commit.

This wildly entertaining show shocks and delights, and reverberates with glorious music, inspired storytelling, innovative staging, and extraordinary performances. You’ll rejoice at the emotionally charged power of The Scottsboro Boys.

Five-time Tony Award® winner Susan Stroman (The Producers) directs and choreographs with a book by David Thompson (Chicago revival) and music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb.

Kander and Ebb don't sugar-coat anything. But they somehow tell an almost unbearably sad tale while keeping you riveted until the end. The Scottsboro Boys works as a history lesson, never panders, and even gives you some catchy tunes to hum on the drive home. It's a thrilling feat and a fitting goodbye from one of Broadway's greatest teams.
