August Wilson Monologue Competition Los Angeles Regional Finals

Come celebrate the life and legacy of August Wilson as 12 student finalists perform monologues from Wilson's American Century Cycle for a chance to advance to the national finals on Broadway. Watch these young people leave their mark on the Taper stage—and see how the next generation of artists is carrying Wilson's work on into the 21st century.

Presented by the Center Theatre Group Affiliates.

Dining at the Theatre

Consider Kendall's Brasserie for a special August Wilson-inspired $35 three-course prix-fixe menu.

Please note that The Music Center Plaza is currently under renovation. The theatre is open for performances as usual, and the main Music Center garage (under the Plaza) will also remain open during construction. Parking personnel are working to minimize any changes to traffic flow, and signage is up that will direct you along the best route to the theatre. Please visit MusicCenter.org/Plaza for detailed information about the renovation plans, including the latest updates regarding paths of travel and current dining options. We are excited about the possibilities the new Plaza will offer our patrons once renovations are complete.
