Moderator: Bobi Garland
Costume historian Bobi Garland teaches at Otis College and Woodbury University. Her consulting clients have included the Walt Disney Company, Electronic Arts, and national museums. As director of Western Company’s Costume Archive & Research Library, she worked closely with Academy Award®-winning costume designers and oversaw Western’s 6,000-piece costume archive.
Panelist: Stephen Galloway
Creative Movement director Stephen Galloway is the go-to choreographer and creative consultant for the world’s most progressive image-makers and brands. Though best known for his stellar 25-year career in ballet and dance theater, including an 18-year tenure as a principal dancer at Ballet Frankfurt, he has worked across many related fields, from costume design and musical performance to fashion photography, magazine publishing, and brand consultancy.
Panelist: Stacia Lang
Stacia Lang is an artist and designer whose main areas of interest are costume arts and sculpture. She has produced costumes for film, music videos, Broadway, live concerts, the circus, and the ballet. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Lang studied costume construction at the New York City Ballet and spent eight years in several major costume shops serving the Broadway and dance communities. She spent three years as costume designer for Prince, designing stage costumes and personal clothing for the artist, his band, and several of his protegés. In 1997, Lang embarked on a film career, working on Interstellar, Star Trek, The Amazing Spider-man, Tron: Legacy, Man of Steel, and Burlesque. She now runs Stacia Lang Feather Studio.

Presented in conjunction with DAPPER DAY + LACMA and Chagall: Fantasies for the Stage, as well as the presentation of Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes at the Ahmanson Theatre by Center Theatre Group and Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center.
