Celebrating our Stories
Teens from across Los Angeles! You’re invited to celebrate and explore the power of telling your stories at a fun, free event inspired by the play Lackawanna Blues.
Our Teen Youth Summit includes interactive pre-show workshops (Cultural Mapping, Storytelling Through Movement, and Poetry Writing: Telling Your Story) that explore the themes of the play, dinner, music, and a ticket to Tony Award® winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson’s Lackawanna Blues. Plus, if you want to stay and hang out after the show, Ruben himself will join us to answer your questions. We want to hear your stories—and discover new ways to carry them on. All are welcome.
This Teen Youth Summit is planned by Center Theatre Group's Student Ambassadors, a group of high school students participating in a yearlong leadership program.
