Theatre Crash Course for Students

Our popular free workshop series is back! On three Wednesday evenings this fall, come together with other teens and professional artists to dive into the play Valley of the Heart by Zoot Suit writer/director Luis Valdez. Actors and directors will investigate scenes from the play, and costume, lighting, and scenic designers will get hands-on to develop design concepts. On the last day, we’ll throw it all together, invite our friends, pitch our designs and see what we’ve got! This is the fastest way to learn what it takes to put on a professional show from start to finish. No experience necessary to participate.

Students who complete the workshop series will receive one complimentary ticket to see Valley of the Heart at the Mark Taper Forum this fall.
