East Los Angeles College
1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez Monterey Park, CA 91754

Ever wondered what other career pathways there are in theatre? Are you feeling stuck and unsure about what your next steps look like after graduation? Come join us as we demystify the possible career pathways and breakdown the fundamentals of various arts administration disciplines.

In partnership with East Los Angeles College, Getting Started: A Career in Theatre Administration Symposium will introduce current undergraduate students to the different roles and functions of the business of theatre and offer professional development workshops for early career individuals looking to explore the different career pathways in theatre administration. At this symposium, we aim to empower, excite, and help students begin to envision a career in theatre administration.

Registration

This is a free event, but registration is required. We are prioritizing currently enrolled Community College students, but all currently enrolled undergraduate students are welcome to register. Upon registration, you will receive an automated receipt of confirmation. If your registration is accepted, you will receive a separate email in December with more information about your participation.

Who should register? If you are a current undergraduate student with dual interests in the arts and another area – you should absolutely join us! While this symposium is open to people from all majors, we are especially focused on those that overlap with careers in theatre, which include:

  • Theatre, Performing Arts, Art
  • Finance, Accounting, Business Administration
  • Education, Community Engagement, Public and Social Services
  • English, History
  • Communications, Publicity, Marketing, Journalism
