Designed for current college and university students studying theatre but open to all, the Working in Theatre Summer Series is a 10-week course focused on the skills and knowledge emerging professionals need to build a career in live theatre.

In this session, we are joined by Meghan Pressman and Tim Wright to answer your questions about theatre management, from nonprofit vs. commercial theatre, to unions, contracts, wages and salaries, and more. Learn all of the best practices for how to navigate the theatre industry as early-career artists and administrators with tips and tricks from these industry professionals.

Panelists:

Meghan Pressman is the Managing Director/CEO of Center Theatre Group. Previously she served as Managing Director for Wooly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., Director of Development for Signature Theatre in New York City, Associate Managing Director at Berkeley Rep, and Managing Director for The Ground Floor at Berkeley Rep.

Tim Wright was the former General Manager and Artistic Director of Circle X Theatre Co., before stepping down in 2018 to focus on his acting career. Tim is the current Executive Director and a board member of Circle X Theatre Company, as well as the Co-Founder and Manager of Atwater Village Theatre.
