The Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City is the newest and most intimate of Center Theatre Group’s family of theatres. The 317-seat venue, located in a newly renovated historic theatre at 9820 Washington Blvd. in Culver City opened in October 2004. Artistic Director Michael Ritchie has selected a wide range of productions, including co-productions with other Los Angeles theatre companies, special events, world premieres of new plays and musicals.
This fantastical blend of puppetry, technology and dance is back at DouglasPlus by popular demand! With moments of both calamity and comedy, this heartwarming tale tells the story of a scientist, his creation and the true meaning of love. Using electroluminescent creatures and an irresistible and expressive soundtrack, Darwin is an imaginative spectacle for kids of all ages. Free Puppet-Making Workshops will be held in the lobby following the 11am performances on Jan 23 and Jan 30.
