The Kirk Douglas Theatre, located in Downtown Culver City, is our home for adventurous new work. It’s where we do the most world premieres, play with conventions, and take risks, fueling an all-encompassing experience.
A Season of Power Plays
Teen girls vying for social standing. Powerful men losing a grip on their privilege. Playwrights pushing the boundaries of theatre. And a celebration of the incredible people and stages of our city. Powerful plays are coming to the Douglas. Our 2018/2019 Season includes never-before-seen works from Lucas Hnath (A Doll's House, Part 2) and Eliza Clark (Animal Kingdom), Jocelyn Bioh's Off-Broadway hit School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play, and our third edition of Block Party featuring outstanding recent productions from Los Angeles theatre companies. We created the Douglas as a place for our audiences to experience bold new works. And that's exactly what we're bringing you with this season of power plays.
